Standards Alignment

Paperwork that makes the case for you.

Every Reel Orb show is mapped to Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)* topics for its subject and grade band. A teacher can connect the visit straight to classroom objectives.

Compatible with NGSS

Documentation a curriculum director
can act on.

Every show's standards alignment is documented and public: the mapping below and its downloadable spreadsheet are the reference a principal hands a curriculum director or grant coordinator to justify the spend.

Per-show documentation
Standards mapping for every show
Each show includes a documented mapping to relevant NGSS* Disciplinary Core Ideas and grade-band expectations.
Open reference
Nothing behind a login
The full show-by-show mapping lives on this page. Available in the downloadable spreadsheet, before you book, not after.
District reference
Documentation for funding and approval
The standards mapping supports curriculum-director conversations and funding decisions. We're glad to walk your team through the fit.
The alignment, standard by standard

Explore the mapping.

Pick a grade band and a discipline, or filter by show. Then open any performance expectation to see which shows support it and how strongly.

Each standard lists the shows that support it, along with a note on what that show actually puts on screen. The standard is the classroom objective; the note is what the students will see. Every show on the Shows page carries the same notes, listed under its own standards. These are topic-level connections a teacher can build on, not an NGSS-endorsed curriculum.

PF Primary focus: the show substantially and directly covers the principle in the standard. SF Secondary focus: the principle is discussed with valuable information or visualization, without fully aligning. AM Ancillary material: not explicitly covered, but reasonably inferred from the show's content.
